Lourdes García López

University Asociate Professor in the Department of Didactics and Theory of Education. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Autonomous University of Madrid. PhD in Education from the Autonomous University of Madrid.

In 2006 she began her professional activity as Secondary Education Teacher focusing on Educational Guidance in EOEP, IES and Adult Center. Currently she works as a Technical Teaching Advisor specialized in Attention to Diversity in the Educational Administration (DAT Madrid-Norte).

She has experience in teacher training. During 2012 -13 and 2013-14  she worked as an Associate Professor of the Camilo José Cela University of Madrid teaching in the Access to Teachers Degree Course. In the 2010-11 academic year, she collaborated with the Autonomous Community teaching Guidance Models and Psychopedagogical Intervention within the Psychopedagogy Bachelor Degree. At the same time, since 2004, she has taught several continuing education courses for teachers in educational centers and exam preparation centers for both primary and secondary public officials.

Lines of investigation
Since July 2009 she is part of the Research Group on School Change for Social Justice of the Autonomous University of Madrid. GICE- UAM. Her experience and interests in educational research are focused on school guidance, educational inclusion, service-learning, education for social justice, and school improvement and effectiveness.
