Assistant professor at the Autonomous University of Madrid at the School of Education and Teaching Training.  He has obtained her doctorate in 2003 at the University of  Comillas with the PhD program on “Equity for all”. She has been Special Education teacher for many years in Primary and Secondary schools in Madrid. She is one of coordinators of Inclusive Education Consortium During several years, she was involved  in the Spanish context adaptation of the Index for inclusion  (Booth and Ainscow, 2002).  Her research interest is focused on Inclusive education and the support teachers’ roles, co-teaching and students voices for improving the schools.

She has participated in different national and international projects about inclusive education in Spain and Europe, such as: Teaching Diverse Learners in School Subjects (Tdivers), Responding to Diversity by Engaging with Students’ Voices: a Strategy for Teacher Development and Reaching the ‘hard to reach’:Inclusive responses to diversity through child-teacher dialogue

Also, she has been an advisor of the European Agency for the Development of the Students with Special Educational Needs. Furthermore, she have led several projects about support educational in Spain and “Creating Inclusive Classrooms at University”.
